My journey with nutrition really started 8 years ago when I decided I wanted to commit to being the best athlete I could be. I found a coach and began tracking my food. To my surprise the biggest mistake I was making was eating way too little to fuel my training. By weighing and tracking my food I learned how much I needed to eat in a day to reach my goals. At times it was challenging, but nutrition became an extremely consistent focus in my life and something that I believe played a huge role in my success as an athlete.

Over the years I developed my own way of tracking food, one that I would say allows for consistency but is not too restrictive or time consuming. This allowed me to have a very good relationship with food and is one of the main reasons I was able to stay consistent for so many years.

Tracking your food is not for everyone and it should not last forever but it’s a great tool to learn about the nutrients of foods and appropriate portion sizes as well as developing good habits when it comes to eating.

My goal as a coach is that you will come to a point where you do not need me anymore. I hope that during our time working together you are able to learn enough that you now have a your own sustainable approach to nutrition going forward.

When we start working together you will get a questionnaire to fill in so that I can get to know you better. After that I will create your daily calories and the split between protein, carbohydrates and fat. You will also receive a starter pack with sample recipes and a lot of general information. Preferably you would then track your food in MyFitnessPal, so that I can easily follow your logs and give better feedback.
